Hideaway Park was an existing park located in the heart of WinterPark. The re-construction of Hideaway Park included extensive grading operations to create a new amphitheatre for the Town’s summer concert venues. Included in the project was all new utilities, colored concrete walls, climbing walls, colored concrete plazas with radiant heat, demolition and re-construction of a new restroom facility, custom timber shelters, onsite parking, extensive new landscape including 60,000 SF sod amphitheatre, playground additions, gas fire pits, and large entry feature. The project is being completed in two phases to facilitate the short construction window in the mountains. In addition, the re-construction of the park requires that the park remain open during construction operations.
