Hideaway Park originated as a small active park located in the heart of Winter Park Colorado. The re-construction of Hideaway Park began with extensive grading operations to create a new amphitheater for the Town's summer concert venues. From there ECI installed all new utilities, expanded to include new gas fire pits and a large lighted entry feature. The existing restroom facility was demolished and a new restroom was built on a colored concrete plaza which has radiant heat installed under it. The colored concrete walls are decorated with beautiful custom fabricated railings and posts, while delightful graphics depicting mountain sights are shown on the sides of the concrete walls for interest and added dimension. The striking new custom lighted shade shelters are great protection from the sometimes intense summer sun. A small addition was made to the existing playground and a fun new climbing wall was added. Many residents and visitors enjoyed the music festivals held on the new 60,000 s.f. sod amphitheater, some even before the construction of the park was completed. In the winter the amphitheater turns into a delightful sledding hill. The short construction window in the mountains of Colorado required this project to be completed in phases, which was made possible as this contract was in a CM/GC format.
