This new community park is adjacent to the Montebello Recreation Center. In the planning stage the project had major input by the neighborhood with design ideas and needs of the community. At the Grand Opening Mayor Michael Hancock of Denver said “Thank you ECI for a job well done, on time, and within budget”. This large pub-lic park includes many recreational areas placed around the recreation center. They include a terrific skate plaza, a synthetic turf football field with concrete bleachers, numerous sodded sports practice areas, and a substantial fenced dog park. The wonderful playgrounds are for all ages, there is a delightful splash park, the shaded picnic shelters and the plaza are all great additions. The natural amphitheater was installed to be used for entertaining and events, while the unique and decorative site amenities are enjoyed by all. Other inclusions on this site were numerous concrete walkways and walls, a restroom building, metal fabricated guardrails, and a significant amount of asphalt parking for teams and visitors alike.
